Playable from both the Axis and Soviet perspective, it strives to recreate the strategy, the forces involved and the general tension of that crucial period in World War II.

Experience the highly fluid, enormously large battles of maneuver in a turn-based strategy setting. Take command in this mobile, back-and-forth sort of war where logistics and poor weather are often the decider, and defeat and victory are sometimes just a mile, or a day, apart.

Basic idea is not to kill but surround and make enemy surrender. Battles are so well designed, that the game blurs the line between strategy and puzzle games. It has an excellent AI too. [Apr 2013]

I loved the basic Unity of Command game, so this DLC/expansion is more of the same.

I think the scenarios are getting better and better, certainly larger and longer in some cases. This is a good thing for those who enjoy the basic UoC experience.

Great for modding, with Unity of Command 1.04 featuring a scenario editor.
A little pricey, but a very nice add on (dlc) to the game.

I was hoping much from this expansion, but it really didn't improve the game. I noticed a new scenario but only one or two new units. The UII was hoping much from this expansion, but it really didn't improve the game. I noticed a new scenario but only one or two new units. The UI was still overly simplistic and the game still lacks any sort of operational or strategic depth to be considered enjoyable. The replayability for this game and its original are low and I lost interest within 2 days. It's been sitting on the shelf ever since. Now I'm contemplating if I should sell it or not. I shouldn't have bought it.....

    Pass on this one folks.
