  1. It straddles the abyss between simulation and arcade, and it does it seemingly effortlessly. [May 2007, p.78]
  2. All good, except for one very stupid omission - no online multiplayer. [June 2007, p.72]
  3. It does what it does well, but tennis sim it ain't. [May 2007, p.67]

Not so good for the eyes than top spin but more simple to play I like a lot.

  2. Graphic is fine, it don't need frostbite, its just tennis. But every move is same, and on PC serving is parody... Good game, for 30 minutes, the you turn it off, and turn on 3 months later again for 20 minutes... Expand

The game is fun. However it might be too much arcade for some people, including me. The ball never hits the net during a rally, it never falls on the line, it almost never goes out of court. These are very important aspects in any tennis game. Also keep in mind that with no multiplayer mode, you will perhaps get stuck with the CPU, which i found very easy to beat even on the hardest level. Graphics are nice to look at, although some player faces aren't that accurate. The create a player mode is one of the worst i have seen in a while, which is really annoying if you are playing the tour mode. If you can deal with the game's limitations, and you prefer arcade gameplay, you will perhaps have fun with it. Otherwise give Top Spin 2 a try. Expand
