Adding to what has been an encouraging year so far for Live Arcade offerings, Voodoo Dice is another unexpectedly high quality puzzler.
If you like puzzlers and fancy playing them on your 360, this is a pretty decent and unique experience.
So-so gameplay can be confusing. [Sept 2010, p.81]
All in all, the time I spent playing this game I enjoyed, especially the more challenging levels that required a bit of thinking to finish. However at 800 MS points it's hard to justify spending that much when there are so many better games out there.
A unique concept only goes so far in this frequently frustrating game that combines puzzle and action elements with uneven results.
I can't really see anyone putting more than an hour into Voodoo Dice, even if they somehow convinced themselves it was worth a purchase -- it's just not that special.
This is an interesting proposal, and Voodoo Dice might have offered a superior final result with good level design. But the games doesn't get to achieve what it intended for a variety of flaws.
