A rock solid RTS.
The only major issue I had with the game was the inability to garrison units inside buildings. While the title may bring more similarities than innovation to the genre, it is certainly a high-quality offering with a solid multiplayer portion and excellent replay value.
War Front is a solid and entertaining game, though far less original than it purports to be. [May 2007, p.62]
War Front: Turning Point is a decidedly different take on the WWII real-time strategy game, complete with jetpack Nazis and freeze rays.
Bonus points for finally taking World War 2 in a different direction, Digital Reality. Much of the basics are intact here and make for some worthy game time. Now lose the gawky first-person mode, make the AI respond properly to enemy action, and give your viewers a macroscopic view of how this alternate history is affecting those beyond the battlefield.
A game that has enough personality to stand above the crowd, at least until its audience tires of its regurgitated gameplay mechanics.
It turns out that War Front wants to do...something...online between missions, and because it can't do whatever that is, the game just crashes.
