Excellent detail comes through in terms of the characters, items, and environments. Sure, there aren't a lot of different locations, but everything looks great with lots of depth and dimension.

Relic has used feedback and criticism to improve on mistakes from the past games, delivering fresh missions and a great presented campaign. A new level cap keeps motivation for longer and nostalgia burns hot, when meeting familiar faces such as Thaddeus and Avitus. The corruption feature is a great addition and feels thought out.
All the great things about the core game are preserved here and the new Chaos Marines content is fantastic. The story's great, the twist is surprising, and the tactical choices are consistently interesting. That said, Chaos Rising isn't for people who haven't already gotten their feet wet with Dawn of War II.
A solid expansion for continuously strong series. Although the campaign is a touch short, there's a lot of fun for the entire ride.
THQ has delivered another strong RTS offering here, with the major put off being a relatively high price for an expansion pack.
It’s disappointing there are no missions that allow you to employ all of your squads together, as this would’ve been particularly rewarding and beneficial in the final conflict.
Overall improvement to the original Dawn of War II this expansion offers a new polished experience with better tactics and the story. Every unit in your squad feel precious and unexpandable and you feel like you live through all the tough battles with them.

DLC stand alone de "dawn of war II" un peu mieux que le jeu de base, on garde le style light RPG et gestion d'escouades avec quelques armes et équipements qui ont été ajouté, de nouveaux personnages et une histoire qui est la suite directe de son prédécesseur.
Plusieurs fin possibles qui peuvent vous pousser à rejouer le mode histoire avec une barre de "chaos" + ou - pleine.

Well worth playing if you enjoyed Dawn of War II.
It introduces a few new mechanics that aren't well explained, but once you Google them they're easy enough to pick up and give a slightly different take on the game.
Graphics are very good considering the age (although cut scene graphical quality is poor).
Very much enjoyed playing through this.
