  1. That, then, is the real triumph here; an RTS game that allows you the ability to do very complex things but doesn't have an interface which it'll take weeks to learn.
  2. It was definitely interesting to play a game that to some extent had the look and feel of an "Age of Empires," yet with game play focused on mission accomplishment as opposed to strategic planning (i.e. no need to develop your trade economy or make sure you have enough lumber to build houses).
  3. It's a cracking title, which makes excellent use of its 3D premise for genuine gameplay improvement. Its rendering of battlefields is superb and strategical, and ranks up there as one of the most enjoyable RTS titles we've been fortunate enough to play this year.
  4. There is plenty of action, strategy, and stealth involved during the entire course of this game, without the tediousness of collecting all of the resources.

In a nutshell: great graphics, horrible AI. I wanted to like this game, I really did. I was eagerly going through the tutorial with one squad and thinking how fun it was all going to be. Then, I started the regular campaign, and they threw in 4 or 5 squads. Movement and pathing for your troops is HORRIBLE! More than once, when I told a soldier to load up onto a truck which was a few feet away from him, he went around the block to get into the back of the truck. And when you select units, they stay in the exact formation they were in when you selected them in, so most of the time they will not "fit" into the spot where you send them. I also experienced 2-3 second lag freezes after unit selections, orders, and during movement. Also disappointing was the lack of any random mission generation, making this game somewhat limited on replay value. As it stands, I played the game for about an hour, and uninstalled. The only hope for it is probably some heavy-duty patching. Full Review »

At last a nice replacement for Close Combat. It's fun to play. I would like to see more unit types and the ability to choose units for my army. Maybe they are holding something back for an expansion? Full Review »

A bit like C&C and a lot like Commandos (only much better because I didn't like Commandos haha). It will probably be a total flop because people want lots of noise and exploding screens and so! This game is very minimal and I love it! Full Review »
