For 20 bucks or so it’s not too terrible for the money. This will most likely appeal to younger players or those who want to jump in and play without spending time thumbing through an extensive manual.
You get what you pay for, though, and for a $20 title, WWII TC delivers a modicum of modest, albeit fleeting, big-gun thrills. [May 2006, p.54]
While finishing the campaign might do justice to the exploits of American armored divisions in WWII (you beat all the Germans in the end), this game as a whole doesn’t do any justice to the role of armor.
I could almost forgive the game's straightforward control style if it weren't for the incredibly predictable missions and the total lack of realism.
Think hard before you consider purchasing this bore-fest.
No check or save points, no sense of where people are when they radio for help, splash damage that kills from up to 50 meters away, no multiplayer whatsoever--need to hear more? Stay away. Stay very far away. [Mar 2006, p.86]
