  1. The sheer number of playable games and unlockable items and the slick production values make it a great value for any gamer with an interest in the roots of console gaming as we know it.
  2. One of the best things about this compilation is that by scoring certain amounts of points in various games, players can unlock original Activision television commercials.

  4. Anthology has a mesmerizing quality about it. Once I started playing and listening to some of the old '80s tunes, it just became real comfortable to keep going.

    Sure they are the forefathers of today's Grand Theft Autos and MechAssaults, but I don't crap in an outhouse like my great grandpappy did more than 100 years ago.

    It's good for the nostalgia, but that wears away quickly and then you are stuck with a bunch of ancient Atari games.
