  1. Its biggest flaw is that the dogfights that are nominally its focus are satisfying and will keep you engaged, but escort, bombing, and recon missions are a lot more fun.
  2. If you like cheeze anime character dialogue and clichés and you like a fairly solid arcade flight sim then you'll probably like Aiforce Delta Strike. There are a ton of planes to fly, plenty of missions and fairly good graphics to weld it all together.
  3. Most combat objectives are immediately recognizable to anyone who's logged a few hours in either "Ace Combat" or "Airforce Delta". Not that htis is really a bad thing, because ultimately, the sci-fi story and design is sufficiently compelling. [Mar 2004, p.88]

The number of airplanes and the graphics and detail used to create said aircrafts is amazing and the controls are very user friendly, but the mentally challenged AI and monotonous missions make for some really uninteresting gaming.
  5. The AirForce Delta series has always been of middling quality and has never really been able to live up to its contemporaries, such as "Ace Combat" and "Lethal Skies," and Strike does little to buck that trend.
  6. The flight sequences, while not drop-dead gorgeous, are okay, but the endless bickering and inane character interaction during the cutscenes will drive you freaking crazy! [Mar 2004, p.40]
  7. I usually have a hard time falling asleep on long flights. But I really did conk out during one of Delta Strike's many dull, virtual-lullaby cinema sequences. [March 2004, p.115]

This game is very good. Regardless of the graphics, the gameplay and the storyline is very compelling.

Sure its got its good moments, but At times the missions seem to jump from easy, to hard, then easy again the number of planes you can fly is enjoyable...giving you a bit of an urge to buy the nect plane, check out how it handles and see the new cockpit but it needs a bit more improvment in the difficulty department, even at the end it leaves you a tad bored. The only redeming quality of this game is the amount of planes that are rendered and flyable. The Dogfights are lousy, and the game chatter while in the air is annoying and pointless. This is definitely a title to rent not to buy. Collapse
