Sep 10, 2013While it follows the style and tone of it's predecessor. It lacks the charm and innovation AI1 had. AI2 seems to be a bit more combat focused this time. While the combat is greatly improved upon from the game before it, it's still a little dull.
None the less, AI2 is far prettier than AI1 also has far more interesting characters and overall story arc.
A decent addition to the Atelier series that isn't as good as the game that came before, but, still fun and enjoyable none the less.… Full Review »
NicholasT.Mar 6, 2008The game offers us more of the same goodness but also has quite jumpy difficulty level that reeks of inbalance. That could become a real turn-off for some. The game is a walk in the park for the first introductive parts of the game and then the very 1st proper dungeon skins your ass raw. The 1st AI had a steady not too easy but not painful difficulty which is much more enjoyable than this 1st overpowered then underpowered then back and forth all the time gameplay.… Full Review »
