  1. Too many of the missions are annoying scavenger hunts. [Jan 2003, p.92]
  2. 77
It's main failing isn't game-play related -- it's a personality issue. The humor isn't that exciting to begin with; after hearing a prostitute scream "You suck harder than I do!" for the hundredth time, it becomes downright infuriating.
  3. The game definitely does not attempt to take itself seriously, and I personally found most of it hilarious...The one real problem I have with the game is the camera.
  4. The problem is that levels themselves are just so poorly designed that there is no real appeal to them and they lack the certain charm as seen in games like "Aggressive Inline" or "Dave Mirra BMX 2."
  5. While the sometimes humorous challenges made us chuckle, their basic type remained the same. By the time all is said and done, the repetition led us to near boredom. [Jan 2003, p.28]
  6. 60
The quality of gameplay, level design, and flow of the action never lived up to the promise of all the hype surrounding BMX XXX.
  7. 60
They’ve succeeded on the crude humor front—but with a high frustration factor and graphical glitches, BMX XXX fails to completely satisfy.
  8. Like most games that shoot for comedy, BMX XXX isn't funny. The design for the gameplay and goal system feel unfinished.
  9. XXX is designed in such a linear way that the game grows boring and repetitive due to its lackluster rewards (censored stripper videos) and outdated engine.
  10. More puzzling are the physics of Sweet Cheeks' attire: If she's wearing a thong, what could possibly be holding up her suspenders? [29 Nov 2002, p.113]
  11. Physics don't play a big part in the proceedings; it's possible to ride a character full-speed into a wall, without any ill effects. [Feb 2003, p.72]
  12. It's f'ing hard! Really hard!... No one who's new to BMX games is going to be able to stomach the camera, the difficulty, and the level design for more than 25 minutes before realizing that surfing the Net for strippers is going to be a lot easier. [Feb 2003, p.101]
  13. Dislike it because it's a tired game on a tired engine. You could press those boobs against the screen and it still wouldn't make this game any good. [Jan 2003, p.79]
  14. Bad taste and bad execution that ranks up there with the worst racing games and the most unfunny Benny Hill sketches make it a truly awful experience in every way.

This game is awesome! It is good to see people pushing the limits of what kind of content games should have. There should be no limits. Too This game is awesome! It is good to see people pushing the limits of what kind of content games should have. There should be no limits. Too bad sony tried to censor the game at the last minute, otherwise I would've given it a 10. Full Review »
