  • Summary: Burnout Revenge lets gamers rip through rush hour traffic and lay waste to scores of rubbernecking roadhogs in an over-the-top scene of vehicular mayhem. In addition to tricked out new race, crash and road rage modes, Burnout Revenge takes the series' blistering speed and spectacular destruction to dizzying new heights with an all-new Revenge mode, challenging gamers to battle the clock and unleash their frustrations on rush hour traffic. 1. Faster-than-light and the best arcade racer in existence. [Jan 2007, p.106]
  2. Simply put, it's the best Burnout yet, and after four games, it's amazing that each one can consistently blow the previous entries away. Revenge does, and it is indeed sweet.
  3. Sure, taking out the fear of hitting some of the traffic makes the game less terrifying than past Burnout games, and the increased emphasis on taking out opposition rather than merely outracing them might be too much for some die-hards to handle, but as you get used to it, the magic is still there.

It manages to exhaustively deliver everything that made "Burnout 3" so fantastic while adding small tweaks that make its predecessor an immediate item for trade-in at your local game store.
  5. Fantastic presentation, highly addictive intense gameplay and plenty to play – racing games just don’t get any better then this, make sure to check it out immediately.

This is the fourth game in the series, and it's definitely the biggest, ballsiest, most nonsensical Burnout to date.
  7. It's overcooked and to slick, through redeemed by the sheer quantity of stuff you can do. [Dec p.90]

Awesome with a capitol "A." I haven't played Burnouts 1 and 2, but Takedown was the only game I definitely like. But Revenge was way better than Takedown. I played the game for a whopping 3 hours long. The bad news is that the loading times are too damn awful because I'd still have to wait for the next levels until I see some lazy technical information. The good news is that all of the features are awesome including the special races that they made like the Eliminator and the Traffic Attack levels were awesome. They also have signature moves, customized your vehicle, destroy every car in your path. WOW! I can't imagine how EA gonna have their tricks to their sleeve because of the dangerous and psysical racing franchises you ever get to play. But I hope they should add another title to the Burnout family. Revenge is awesome, can't wait till this game is gonna be in the PS2 Classics list. Expand

Great game, this was pretty much one of the only racing games I've ever liked, other than cars of course, now I'm looking forward to buying forza 5, but it will never meet up to the level of excitement of burnout. Expand

If I was given a choice to choose between NFS MOST WANTED(2005) and Burnout Revenge I would choose burnout. I don't care if people say most wanted(2005) is the best racer ever cuz revenge is in my opinion the best racing game ever. the excitement, the violence, the destruction, the violent competition between racers, the way you destroy innocent peoples cars in traffic and the best part of the game REVENGE. these are the reasons for why I still play burnout revenge up to this day and I wont stop playing it for a long time. NFS is a great game but Burnout is the best for me. Expand

Revenge is actually decent, I played a PSP Burnout, and definitely I enjoyed the handheld version. So what happened to the big guy? I didn't felt that kind of abominate force that had the psp version in this Burnout. Okay the cool fights with other cars crashing constantly is unstoppable but the levels, or the maps of racing etc don't appeal me and start feeling incomplete or not satisfying. But that being said, Burnout Revenge was quite a nice revenge well made . Expand

Crashing constantly is great and also the graphics are very impressive. But playing the game feels a little old and dodging cars is still hard to do, I wish I could dodge easier for better fun. And their isn't very interesting characters at all nothing really much new to find here. My review 7.8. Expand
