90There's absolutely no doubt that The Mega Quiz is the strongest instalment in the Buzz franchise to date...arguably the first time that the balance of questions, rounds and presentation has been so close to perfection.
-
90The best Buzz! game to date.
-
A good game show comes down to a handful of things; a good way of equalizing all players regardless of skill (but still allowing those that are most knowledgeable to have some advantage), good question variety, engaging modes or rounds and a presentation that wraps it all up. Buzz! has all of these in spades.
-
86Buzz! The Mega Quiz is definitely worth the $40. The game is a perfect complement to SingStar and the Guitar Hero games, and makes the PS2 quite a party machine.
-
Trivia isn't for everyone, but this game is well executed, and I would like to see them tackle some other genres.
-
83Sony – why did it take you so long to bring us this great series?
-
80Would your parties be better with a quiz show to add to your Karaoke marathon? If so, Buzz: The Mega Quiz is the one for you.
-
Not as educational as the upcoming "Buzz! Schools," but Mega is a packet of guaranteed rainy-day entertainment. [Apr 2007, p.90]
-
80Just about as good as the series is going to get on the PlayStation 2. If you want a game that the entire family can enjoy no matter their prior exposure to video games, The Mega Quiz will be perfect.
-
80It's easy to get into, there are enough topics so that everyone can have a chance, you can customize what rounds come up, and you get your own buzzer. That's awesome, and the whole package is just $40. If you have a bunch of trivia junkies in your crew, this one's a winner.
-
Buzz! The Mega Quiz might not be the best thing for hosting a trivia tournament, but it can be a lot of fun with a group of friends at parties or family gatherings.
-
80Buzz! The Mega Quiz is a great game for anyone looking for a video game trivia fix or just searching for a fun party game. The assortment of questions is quite diverse and while there is some repetition early on, the game maintains freshness for quite some time.
-
80Buzz!: The Mega Quiz is the best Buzz title yet. With several difficulty levels and a wide range of round types it's a game that's guaranteed to be a crowd favourite for a long time.
-
80If you're looking for a fun party game for PS2 and you haven't made the leap to HD, Buzz! The Mega Quiz is a great time-waster for you and your friends.
-
For those who are tired of the same old-same old when it comes to trivia board games at parties, Buzz! The Mega Quiz makes an interesting change of pace.
-
75Question: What is a fun trivia game with cool controllers that's fun to play in groups? Answer: Buzz! The Mega Quiz.
-
It's getting a bit tired now, but this is a decent installment. [May 2007, p.85]
-
74The game has a nice feel and is definitely the type of game you want to play with others. This is a solid multiplayer party game. The graphics are nothing special, nor – really – is the sound, but the game flows well and can present a challenge (depending on your difficulty level).
-
A group of mates will have a good time, as ever.
-
70It's not going to set the hardcore world on fire, but it's a nearly perfect party game, and there's room for that in this world.
-
If you're home alone avoid this entirely, but if you're all about riotous social gaming, get involved with Buzz! now. [May 2007, p.112]
-
Though some of the round choices are odd and the commentary could use a bit more humor, the core trivia game here is a great choice for the casual game player looking for a trivia party game.
-
60Even worse, the game gets boring quickly. It offers decent fun, especially with four players, but Buzz could've used more organization, spontaneity and humor to liven things up.
-
This mega quiz is a mega bore. [Holiday 2007, p.78]

Jesse9As close to a real game show as most of us will ever get. even better with more players.
-
DecepticonPom10Tremendous fun - another strong addition to the franchise. (And that is Jason Donovan providing the voice of Buzz in UK/AUS versions).
