Sorry, but this game sucked. I will give it some points for the legions, but those are the only points it gets... that and the main guys hair. I think it is a 3rd. rate Drakengerd, storyline sucked, and fights sucked, one sword, no up-grades for it, and who ever said the main guy even comes close to being as cool as Cloud (FF7) is a dumb-ass. the game dosent have much to offer but the Sorry, but this game sucked. Can you say 'vote padding' much? The graphics were dull and lifeless back when they game shipped, the controls were overly simple, the first 5 or 6 stages are mostly indistinguishable from one another, the enemy designs are neat, but are hampered by ugly textures, and the game overall lacks a feeling of freedom, as using the wrong legion during a fight will get you stomped. The people rating this game 10 are either blind, ignorant, or are very annoyed game devs who feel the need to make their game seem like an underdog. Less fun that Devil May Cry 2. Bottom line. Expand

Although it's a beautiful game full of nonstop, relentless action, Chaos' flaws turn a potentially stellar title into merely a solid one for genre fans. [July 2003, p.96]

An above average action game for the PS2 that has some great character designs and a world that needs more fleshing out. Still with all it's small faults it's still a game I keep coming back to just to witness another beatdown, and if a game can do that it's not so bad in my book.

Although its replay value leaves a bit to be desired, Chaos Legion is still a decent brawler with some clever combat and stylish visuals.
