  • Summary: Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo "Hellblazer" graphic novels and the Warner Bros. film, the supernatural thriller Constantine tells the story of John Constantine, a man who has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with sceptical policewoman Angela Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost. [Warner Bros.] Expand

  1. A bit too dark (as in "no light"), linear and uninventive. It is also strangely entertaining. [Mar. 05]
  2. One need not be a huge fan of John Constantine, nor even know anything about him or the Hellblazer series to appreciate the experience (though it might make you cool).
  3. 70
Once you get a few levels into the game, you start to see the purpose and role of each weapon, and Constantine encourages you to think strategically about how to take down enemies.
  4. As a movie port using the oldest recipe in the book, Constantine is about as average a game as you can get, which is actually better than most licensed translations. Neither Heaven nor Hell, Constantine is merely a short stay in Purgatory.
