Far and away the best DDR compilation available on the home market, and fanatics will find it more than worth the investment.
With other games I've felt similar feelings after beating an especially tough boss or solving a taxing puzzle. But when I truly master a song in DDRMAX, the sweat on my face and the swift beating of my heart magnifies the feeling. The soreness in my muscles and the burning in my lungs tell my body that I have actually done something worthwhile. It's a singular sensation that can make other games seem like meaningless fumbling with the controller.
The best DDR out right now. You get a plethora of songs, better graphics than those found on the PSone versions, the new freeze arrows, and more difficulty settings.
There isn’t enough innovation or technical upgrades to make this title stand out from the previous DDR releases. But don’t let that stop you, DDRMAX offers up tons of replay value.

If you're a DDR fanatic, there are plenty of songs on here with CRAZY difficulty, heck there's a whole mode that'll give you a heart attack trying to keep up with it. But for a novice player, the easier songs and settings are few and far between.
