The 100+ minutes of music include licensed tracks, fresh dance hits, and cool new songs exclusive to the North American release. DDRMAX delivers never-before-seen in-game videos, new gameplay options, blistering 60-frames per second frame rates and the largest song library in franchise history. Further enhancing the gameplay experience is the introduction of the FREEZE ARROW option that freezes on-screen arrows and forces you to modify your dance steps thus increasing complexity and adding a twist to the routine. Popular gameplay options that return in DDRMAX are the Edit Mode that enables you to customize your own dance steps, and the special Work Out mode that tracks the number of calories burned with every move. It’s a fan’s dream come true.
  2. With the massive amount of music, coupled with a evenly paced difficulty scale, DDRMAX is set to keep you entertained for the long haul.
  3. 92
The best home version of DDR ever made.
  4. The new Freeze steps (where you hold your foot down in one direction for multiple beats) are a great addition to the high-steppin' action. [Dec 2002, p.202]
  5. While it appears to be ridiculous, I found it to be the most entertaining game I have played in a long while.
  6. For those of you who enjoy this style of game, the magic is back. DDRMAX really delivers.
  7. If you're a DDR fanatic, there are plenty of songs on here with CRAZY difficulty, heck there's a whole mode that'll give you a heart attack trying to keep up with it. But for a novice player, the easier songs and settings are few and far between.

This is the greatest game ever made! You get to burn calories, get more coordinated with your feet, and listen to cool music all at once! I This is the greatest game ever made! You get to burn calories, get more coordinated with your feet, and listen to cool music all at once! I bought this game on Febuary 16, 2003, and have loved it since. All my friends have it too. This version is an edited version of the arcade version of DDR: MAX (6th mix). The only down sides this would possibly have, would be that is is a littly pricy (about $150 if u are really into it, and about $64 if your new.) and that its hard to learn when you start. But those dont matter once your showing off your skills in the arcades now wil it? Expand
