Critic score distribution:
  1. Positive: 1 out of 15
  2. Negative: 5 out of 15
  1. The brief, timed missions, simple but attractive visuals and fast-paced gameplay make it one of those perfect travel games.
  2. It’s one thing to put original characters into an old game type, but it would be another thing entirely to use those same characters and impose new standards on the genre.
  3. If you're going to play DICE, its short-subject, arcade-style gameplay makes it easy to get through in short bursts.
  4. Fans of the Cartoon Network series will undoubtedly get the most mileage from the game but it never really becomes anything other than decent.
  5. 55
While it might be conceptually sound and technically solid, DICE suffers from a serious lack of gameplay variety. Ultimately, it feels...numbing.
  6. DICE's battles would have been exciting if they had added more than one kind of level. A combo system other than square-square-square would have worked wonders.
  7. Regardless of the validity of the license, D.I.C.E. the game is a dull, repetitive, and often frustrating experience that should be avoided.
  8. 20
The experience is a little like being served greasy fast food from an employee that really hates his job. Not only is the product prepared to the lowest possible standard, the bun is mashed, the ketchup and mustard are in one big glob off to the side, and the meat is soggy.
  9. A simple action game intended for amateur gamers everywhere. Its addictive robot transformation and customization appeal makes DICE rewarding the more it’s played, but it’s also engaging to simply indulge for a few minutes every once in a while.
  10. DICE –the game – features a high-school story with grammar school gameplay. Only those who are willing to put up with the boring-est of the boring button mashing games will be able to see DICE through to its end.
  11. Okay production values, but flat, unrefined gameplay. [Nov 2005, p.84]
  12. The repetitive nature of the gameplay and the easy control system puts this firmly in the classification of an arcade game. I expect something a little deeper for the home system.
  13. 42
The gameplay is too repetitive and boring to be worth anything, the main game can be beaten within seven or eight hours, and the extras offered just aren’t worth coming back for.
  14. DICE is so utterly amateurish it's almost depressing. Stay very, very far away. [Nov 2005, p.96]
  15. I definitely suggest avoiding this game at all cost. Even for the little ones out there, parents, don’t torture the tikes with this uninspired, bland, and incredibly boring title.
