  • Summary: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 delivers an extreme 3D fighting experience, improving upon last year's game with over 150 playable characters, enhanced fighting techniques, beautifully refined effects and shading techniques, making each character's effects more realistic, and over 20 battle stages. In addition, an improved control system for the Wii will allow players to easily mimic signature moves and execute devastating energy attacks as they are performed in the Dragon Ball Z animated series. 1. The PS2 may have thrown out its last classic titles with Okami and God of War II, but for those waiting to make the next gen leap then you could do a lot worse for yourself in the mean time than picking this up.
  2. For 50 bucks, Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is a surprisingly good game. The colorful landscapes, differently played characters, and multiple settings and choices make the title enjoyable.
  3. If there's one word to describe this game it's frenzy. You'll find plenty of fast action and the gameplay never really takes a break.
  4. When it comes down to it, Budokai Tenkaichi 3 continues the series’ tradition of creating true-to-the-anime experiences.

Spike, through their years of crafting this intricate milieu, has given the fans what they wanted: a fun, exciting portrayal mirroring the spirit and ferociousness of Dragon Ball Z.
  6. After three games, you should know by now that this series is primarily for longtime fans, and they have plenty to like. [Holiday 2007, p.82]
  7. I can respect Funimation’s attempt to change many staid fighting game conventions throughout their Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi series, but in the process, the controls have become almost impossible to learn.

This game is a dream come true. Best 3d fighting game ever. The action will leave you enthralled for hours. The learning curve may be a bit steep but once you get the hang of it will be awesome. If you are a dragon ball fan then this should surely not be missed. Expand

It's just like the anime series!!!! The Story mode...I must say way better than tenkaichi 2, the overall speed of the gameplay it's better now, the graphics...10 points!! I own Budokai 3, Tenkaichi 2 and Tenkaichi 3...and Tenkaichi 3 it's the best! It has so many combos that you could spend a whole year before untapping all the fighting posibilities of this game...and NO 151 character...161!! with transformations, skins and altered states, later is the music topic...no problem!! It's really great...no like the original but is ok. But this can be changed if you make a simple mod...just google it. Overall I give it a 10! Expand

When I say the BEST, I really say that this game is the BEST Dragon Ball game in history, and one of the best shonen-anime game too. Hundreds of different characters and more than 40 transformations, hours and hours playing the history mode or playing with your friend at your home. In ps3, we really miss games like this. This game is much better than the two Raging Blast games or Ultimate Tenkaichi ones in PS3.
I was only 12 years old when I was playing this game, and then my parents bought me my PS3 ... and then I stop playing this AWESOME game. Perhaps the best dragon ball game made in history....

very disappointing game, the gameplay is much worse than 2, and too difficult, the controls are very frustrating, then the defects remain as always, there are still very annoying invisible barriers, then the Modular history and very short, and lacks many major battles, and was cut to 70-80% of the true story, Then it is done very badly. Then many of the characters moves are very bad,and a very disappointing game and then very bad Expand
