This game is really fun, the only thing i would change about it would be to make it two players.

I`ve been a fan of DW games since the beginning and this just makes it a whoole lot better. And by the way the guy (or Girl) thats named logan this game is 2 players it even tells you just above from here.

I dont know what some of these critics are talking about. the game is great. i think they just expected to much of a change this was more of an expiriment for Koei and i think it turned out rather well.

An outstanding remix of the classic Dynasty Warriors formula, successfully introducing some Risk-like strategy into an aging hack-and-slash franchise which truly needs (and deserves) it. The introduction of strongholds brings this strategy to the battlefield as well. The only drawbacks are lack of two-player modes, no online play, and at times frustratingly repetitive gameplay. For example, to eliminate enemy officers from the battlefield you must beat them no less than three times. Still, a refreshing diversion for fans of the series. Expand

More strategy could have been applied, and moving that strategy into the multiplayer game would have added a lot. Otherwise, what you have is the same DW4 with a slightly more tactical story mode.

There are moments of painful slowdown, and you may very well have done something very similar before, but take it from your oath brothers at X-Play, Dynasty Warriors: Empires is an easy game to enjoy and an easy game to recommend.
  3. Simply put it's an interesting concept and at first certainly an engaging experience but ultimately it just doesn't work.
