  1. It will mostly appeal to hardcore fans of snowboarding and those who enjoyed the first version...it is the most realistic snowboarding game currently available for the PS2.
  2. A veritable avalanche of gameplay options.
  3. Practically an RPG in and of itself, I liked how unique and replayable [the snowboarder mode] was.
  4. it's no SSX Tricky or Shaun Palmer, but it has a great look and some daunting challenges.
  5. While Konami has toned down the simulation elements of Winter X-Games Snowboarding 2002 so that it will appeal to a broader audience, the challenging controls and plodding snowboarder mode will turn off all but the most ardent snowboarders.
  6. I see the 2002 version as losing what was decent enough control in the original, but surpassing it in every other way.
  7. No matter what type of game you are looking for, the control takes some getting used to.
