  • Summary: For those Americans who can't play "ISS Pro Evolution 2," or for those who absolutely must play as the San Jose Earthquakes, the L.A. Galaxy, or even Arsenal or Liverpool, we have EA's entry into the world of next generation footy.

  1. FIFA 2001 may not be revolutionary in gameplay or depth like Madden, but it's revolutionary in terms of graphics -- and it brings home the ultimate vision of soccer game creators better than any game before it.
  2. 91
While FIFA 2001 is hardly perfect, its still the best soccer (excuse me: football) game to date for any of the "next generation" systems.
  3. 90
You'll be hard-pressed to score more than a couple goals. But that just mirrors real life, and the action delivers plenty of thrills.
  4. FIFA 2001 isn't flawless, but the game is extremely well rounded and it excels in every category.
  5. It's pure FIFA, American style the way I've come to know and love it. Go Burn!
  6. Delivers impressive graphics, audio, and smooth gameplay, but doesn't provide the same depth of gameplay as many other EA Sports titles. For the casual sports gamer, FIFA may be an entertaining, enjoyable title, but hard-core soccer fans could be left wanting more.
  7. Boy, am I a sucker! Not only is Fifa 2001 for the PS2 actually worse than the PC version, it's a complete bastardization of the Beautiful Game and one of the most shallow and boring games I have ever played.
