I can't believe that a driving game doesn't utilize a steering wheel. First flatout used the logitech pro 900 degree wheel, and this one doesn't even use a wheel - what's up with that?

Pretty much feel the same way about this version as I do the Xbox version. So if you want to see a more fuller review of this game, look at my Xbox review of this game. It's more of the same as the first one.

  1. It's not a radical departure from the original game, which is good, but thoughtful additions like hurling your crash-test dummies through the windscreen online and extra emphasis on exploring the many paths on offer in each track mean that FlatOut 2 is the perfect way to continue driving in high-speed wonky lines.
  2. There’s no getting away from the fact that FlatOut 2 is damned good fun, and will bring you back to the days of Destruction Derby and its ilk. However, as much as we appreciate the tweaks – and that’s really all they are – to the first game, there are still a few too many fundamental flaws which bring out a wail of frustration or a tut as you consider how easily certain annoyances could have been avoided.
  3. It's quite honestly an astounding achievement in terms of the implementation of the physics, which should garner the franchise (and BugBear) further success. It's giant step forward from the original title of 2004.
