  • Summary: Team up again as medieval warriors galavanting through 20 worlds in this classic arcade hack 'n slash, button-masher which makes a stop on the PS2.

Gauntlet attempts to exercise the PS2’s graphical muscles, but because of the locked overhead-camera angle, there’s only so much detail and special effects to see amidst the tiny characters scurrying about.

If you spent much time in the 80's pumping quarters into Gauntlet, you're going to enjoy this console version with almost as much zeal. If you've never played Gauntlet (blasphemy!), you owe it to yourself to pick this title up and give it a whirl.
  3. For what it is, a fast hack ’n’ slash, GDL is a great game. If you’re looking for an action RPG, this ain’t it.
  4. In the end, though, the playing experience offers more than enough good, clean fun to offset its weak points.
  5. If you're a fan of the series or just looking for a great multiplayer seek and destroy mission, Gauntlet will provide thrills in spades.
  6. Perfectly suited to the multiplayer environment of a college dorm room.
  7. Dark Legacy has more than enough items, upgradeability and weird creatures to keep your attention for more than a rental, but only if you have a few friends to play it with.

One of the best multiplayer games ever made. Also, even if you play the game by yourself, you won't get bored from it either.
