In the attempt to be all things for all kinds of gamer, each little mode lacks polish. [Jan 2003, p.173]
Haven tries to go in several directions at once. Alas, rather than excelling, it ends up doing a fairly mediocre job of almost everything.
It would have worked better had the game allowed you to switch from any of these game styles at will. I think that was the original idea, but sadly it all turns out overly scripted and directed.
