How can you fools like this game. the players dont look anything like the acual players. the developers should be ashamed of themselfes.the stadiums are absolutly horrid.the fans in this game-there are no fans ! its literally just one stupid colored texture map. they tell u on the menu screens if u want to see the players from 2001 or 2002. i told u that because even the freakin playersHow can you fools like this game. the players dont look anything like the acual players. the developers should be ashamed of themselfes.the stadiums are absolutly horrid.the fans in this game-there are no fans ! its literally just one stupid colored texture map. they tell u on the menu screens if u want to see the players from 2001 or 2002. i told u that because even the freakin players dont have the right numbers ! none of the players animations look like they do on the feild.every baseball game is doing this except this one.one of the biggest things in this game is the audio.i found loops in the crowds and the commentaters.if your looking to buy this game listin to me and not to them.avoid it at all cost its utterly riddiculous this game of such poor quality would be coming out now. listin i like 3D0 i hope they can do better then this they obviously cant do a worse one. this game gets a 2. Although the game play is pretty good, ther are some unrealistic things that are annoying. Runners advancing 2 bases on a deep sacrifice fly? Also when you are playing in a season, you can only do one for one trades, and you can trade any player for any other player...i.e. a bench player for a Lance Berkman? It should be more realistic in that way.

Baseball sim fans - this is PS2 ECSTASY! That is exacly what this is - Sim Baseball at its finest. If you are down 1 in the 8th inning and your leadoff guy gets on, you better be bunting...or if you have a pitcher out there beginning to tire, you better have someone getting loose long before you need him...a close call at first, your first baseman will probably argue the call, and maybe Baseball sim fans - this is PS2 ECSTASY! That is exacly what this is - Sim Baseball at its finest. If it is in baseball it is probably in this game. I think one thing I enjoy most about this game (aside from the HIDEOUS anouncers) is the sounds on the field/in the stands. It about cracked me up the first time I was catching a fly ball, and all of a sudden I heard "DROP IT" from the crowd...it's definitely the little things. Another nice addition this year is ALL the animations. Double plays never looked so nice. Close outfield catches can be a thing of beauty. The unique player batting stances are nice as well...the first time I saw Shawn Casey come to bat was very impressive to me! A couple of things that do draw this game back from a 9 or a 10 to an 8 are lack of a franchise mode (although the season mode is nicely done), non-weighted trades (you can trade anyone for anyone and the AI won't care), and it is not the best game graphically. If you are into Sim and not as much the "pretty" graphics, this is your game for this season. Expand

One of the best sports gaming experiences I've ever had... honest. (and I've been playing sports games since the Mattel Intellivision).

  1. There's also a smoothness to the throws and fielding that looks great, and the pitching animation is as realistic as you could hope for. There are even different animations for when a fielder loses one in the sun.

Engaging, visually stunning, and a whole lot of fun to play.
  3. High Heat 2003 may not be the best looking or sounding baseball game, but its realistic gameplay laps the competition.
