InuYasha is pretty enough for a lowbrow button masher, but the primitive gameplay means looking at the screen is optional even if victory is not.
  2. Those looking for more than a passable use of an anime license will likely be put off by the game's monotonously simplistic action.
  3. This game will get boring quickly because there is no depth.
  4. The animation is choppy and the control response isn't very smooth. There are some collision detection problems where some hits don't register even though you can clearly see them connect on the screen.
  5. 70
The game is serviceable enough for even old-school types looking to take a break from the more methodical titles on the market. While it won't replace my love for "Street Fighter," at least there's something else I can play to get my brawl on.
  6. Being able to control my favorite characters would be fun, but if the gameplay of those made-up games were the same as that of Inuyasha: Feudal Combat, well ... being a fan of a particular anime series only goes so far, you know?
  7. 40
If you dig dog-eared InuYasha and his rather violent friends, Feudal Combat is a pleasant diversion.
  8. Its simple yet strategic move set makes it amicable for amateurs or aces. [Oct 2005, p.68]
  9. Nice touches like graphics and gameplay elements ultimately don't disguise this fighter's lack of depth. [Oct 2005, p.107]
  10. Problem is, the gameplay is about as deep as your average bottle cap, with tiny, tiny movie lists and not much character balance. [Nov 2005, p.82]
  11. It's a blah fighter with only a passing reference to most of the InuYasha source material. There's no reason to experience this game if you're a fan of the show, and far better fighters out there if you're a fan of the genre.
  12. Nothing more than a total button mashing snooze fest that's about as entertaining as eating a pile of boiled eggs, which for me isn't too entertaining.
  13. Definitely lacking in some departments. However, the game functions well as a simple-structured fighting game, with the partner system a welcome addition.
  14. A horrible fighting system, PS1 like graphics and horrible computer controlled characters ruin this title. [JPN Import]

The graphics are beautiful but that doesn't save this game from being an over all insipid waste of time. The voice-overs though are given props for having the American cast the so called acting is pretty lackluster. Almost as bad as the Cursed Mask. The story isn't represented very well its shortened extremely and you're not entertained by it at all. The gameplay is over simplistic though the enviroments are sorta interactive its not very challenging the combo list is incredibly small and the special move is actived by a simple button press not very deep, huh? Its also easy, very easy and short. And basic. I was hoping this game would be good like Feudal Fairy Tale yet sadly it joins the Avoid category with Cursed Mask. Don't pick this one up even if you're a die hard fan like me. Full Review »

Sadly, I was right. The fighting system is horrible and it sickens me that this game is almost an exact duplicate of feudal fairy tale with just a few extras. You cannot even combine awesome characters like Naraku and Koga because of the idiotic spirit points system so your team if it isnt like one from the show is doomed to lose... Maybe worth a rent for a die hard inuyasha fan, my g/f liked it but I did not. Full Review »
