  1. It promotes gratuitous nudity, reckless disregard for life and limb, vulgar language, crass behavior, and careless attitudes towards the destruction of personal property. And yeah, it's fun.
  2. Just like the show, Jackass: the Game is a guilty pleasure. It’s sophomoric, lowest-common-denominator entertainment to be sure, but that doesn’t keep it from being fun.
  3. Jackass: The Game does deliver a lot of the fun that fans of the TV show have enjoyed, and the overall feel of the game is pretty authentic with rock music blaring at times, goofy cutscenes, amusing antics, and a level of risk and injury that goes way beyond even what the show did.
  4. A few stinkers aside, Jackass is a great bunch of mini-games that capture the essence of the show. [Nov 2007, p.96]
  5. Not a good game, but not a bad game by any means either. A surprisingly entertaining romp of repetitive mini-games that might surprise you by forcing a chuckle out once in awhile.
  6. I like the "Jackass" show. I really do, and I don't like coming down on the video game interpretation of it, but without a true director mode, it lacks depth, and once you get your laughs out of the minigames once or twice, you'll be ready to move on.
  7. In other words it’s not a terrible game, it’s just not a very good value. Either way you spin it, the game reeks with the awesome essence of Jackass.
  8. As a whole, however, this game wouldn’t necessarily warrant a purchase from anyone but hardcore fans of the Jackass franchise.
  9. Despite feeling a little irrelevant in 2007, Jackass: The Game does a decent job of capturing the feel of the show.
  10. Between being based on a show without any new episodes in several years, and having its primary release be on the PlayStation 2, there is an air of irrelevancy to the entire product.
  11. I feel bad for railing on Jackass: the Game this much, as from a purely gaming perspective, it is not only playable, but at times mildly amusing and wholly enjoyable.
  12. Although the game's presentation could've been sweeter, the gameplay manages to impress. Multiplayer isn't bad, either. That is, if you find a buddy with a fine tolerance for pain and really gross stunts.

Jackass: The Game can be fun for a bit, but mostly because the content of the stunts is funny. Actually playing them isn't as exciting as simply seeing what happens next, which is unfortunate.
  14. The mini-games range from pretty fun to pretty meh, neither truly stellar nor truly awful. [Nov 2007, p.86]
  15. You'll get a kick from smashing the bones of your ragdoll men. [Christmas 2007, p.82]
  16. The Game may resemble the TV show but with its variety of bland mini games it's not near as much fun as watching the real thing.
  17. As a videogame, it’s far from being recommended. But as a collection piece for fans of the series, it may be worth a look.
  18. The problem underlining it all is that the games are way too easy.
  19. Jackass the Game is all over the place. Some stunts are great fun, others are terrible. The graphics are decent here, but severely lacking there. The controls in this stunt work just fine; the controls in another make us say, "what the...?"
  20. In the end Jackass: The Game fails to capture what made the show so funny, and this is not for a lack of effort. It does feel like they tried to turn it into a legitimate title, but this is just not an ideal show to do it with.
  21. Jackass fans, take the $30 you would have spent on this and buy Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 instead. Just pretend the title screen says Jackass Skateboarding and you’ll never know the difference. It’ll certainly be a lot more fun than this piece of garbage.
  22. The game - or string of small games connected only through common characters - is only worth dabbling in for the humor and bourgeois rock and roll attitude of it all.
  23. 40
Like the show itself, Jackass: The Game is something best experienced when extremely drunk, extremely bored, or, ideally, both. But don't go getting the idea that you'll enjoy it with friends.
  24. 40
Though on the surface Jackass looks like it has strong replay value, the content is as shallow as Steve-O’s take on world peace. Players will breeze through the story mode within a day, and the challenge mode simply offers the same events with slightly higher score requirements.
