  • Summary: Hero Jak and his mischievous sidekick Daxter are back together and for the first time-ever they've joined forces on PSP. Get set for the latest addition to the smash-hit Jak and Daxter series, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Prepare for non-stop action and adventure as the duo travel across mysterious lands and take to the sky on a mission to save their planet from destruction. Take this incredible adventure with you anywhere on your PSP, or play it at home with PlayStation 2. Picking up from where the original Jak and Daxter trilogy left off, Jak and furry friend Daxter team up with their friend Kiera on her quest to become a Sage and save their world from the threat of darkness. As the environment of their planet slowly dies, our two worldly heroes embark on a mission to protect their world from the threat of "dark eco". Beginning on foot, you'll run and jump across undiscovered lands, before taking flight in one of five different aircrafts. With cheeky Daxter and our serious Hero Jak together on the adventure, fun and laughter is never far away. Blast airborne enemies and battle sky pirates with your powerful Gunstaff - a brand-new weapon that can transform into other new weapons. [Sony] Expand

  1. This is one of the best games for PlayStation 2, what is also the weak point of it. Graphics and game mechanics are not the same as in a PS3 game, so it isn’t stirring for me.
  2. 74
There’s fun to be had here, but it could’ve been polished a bit more to bring out the value.
  3. Unless you're a die-hard Jak and Daxter fan, Jak and Daxter: The Final Frontier isn't worth the coin.
  4. It's clear that the developers didn't have enough time to properly finish the game. As it is now it's ugly and full of bugs and bad gameplay. A shame really, because with some proper polishing it could've been a really good platformer. [Jan 2010]

  1. This is a really good game, even though it was released near the end of the PS2's sell by date. The flying was unreal, though the camera is fairly poor and Dark Daxter wasn't really adding much in terms of gameplay, but for what it is,its fairly solid. Expand
  2. This was a good but it's a Jak and Daxter game, and didn't have the same feel. The other Jak and dax games had a 3-D platforming game with a fun sandbox world and this game didn't have that. The characters are copy pasted from the other games with worse traits and where the F$%K are the light and dark powers! The games still good but not half as good as its predecessors Expand

well naughty dog sold out the series to some one else for money. and the game is not right! i dont know what it is it just doesn't feel right. the sound and music make you know it's a game. the world is empty feeling and lonely. the game itself is decent but it is just not enough. i played for about 3 hours and i dont want to finish it. the jak series has been like a bunch of chocolate this last edition is a vanilla disapointment! 4. Jak and Daxter: One of the first games for the PS2, it had beautiful graphics unlike any other game seen before. The controls were tight, the music fit the mood and Daxter was entertaining. Jak 2: An obvious cash-in on the GTA craze sweeping the nation, but not bad. Music was fitting, controls were once again tight, the graphics were even better and Daxter was, again, amusing. Jak 3: Best music, best dialogue, best graphics, best gameplay, best EVERYTHING. Jak X: The "black sheep" of the franchise, it was a fairly decent racing game. Graphics were at their prime, story was pieced together but still enjoyable, and Daxter was still enjoyable. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier: Mediocre rip of a PSP game with lifeless voice-acting, inconsistent animation (Jak's shirt actually changes in one cutscene. Fail.), lifeless music. Major changes: Jak has a new voice actor. Keira's face has been rearranged . Daxter is very, very fluffy. Flying is a large part of the game now. Even compared to the racing game (which i'll admit to liking very much, actually) this game is a colossal failure, the furthest the franchise has fallen. It's one big cliche storm, the enemies are generic, everything is OFF. I'd go as far as to say this game is disgusting. The only part I liked at all (in fact, I loved it) was the flying; you could send Daxter to sabotage other planes! Very fun. But aside from that, this game is terrible. Fans will hate his game, and I can almost guarentee that. STEER CLEAR FROM THE LOST FRONTIER. Expand
