Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier Image
  • Summary: Hero Jak and his mischievous sidekick Daxter are back together and for the first time-ever they've joined forces on PSP. Get set for the latest addition to the smash-hit Jak and Daxter series, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Prepare for non-stop action and adventure as the duo travel across mysterious lands and take to the sky on a mission to save their planet from destruction. Take this incredible adventure with you anywhere on your PSP, or play it at home with PlayStation 2. Picking up from where the original Jak and Daxter trilogy left off, Jak and furry friend Daxter team up with their friend Kiera on her quest to become a Sage and save their world from the threat of darkness. As the environment of their planet slowly dies, our two worldly heroes embark on a mission to protect their world from the threat of "dark eco". Beginning on foot, you'll run and jump across undiscovered lands, before taking flight in one of five different aircrafts. With cheeky Daxter and our serious Hero Jak together on the adventure, fun and laughter is never far away. Blast airborne enemies and battle sky pirates with your powerful Gunstaff - a brand-new weapon that can transform into other new weapons. [Sony] Expand

  1. This is one of the best games for PlayStation 2, what is also the weak point of it. Graphics and game mechanics are not the same as in a PS3 game, so it isn't stirring for me.
  2. 74
There's fun to be had here, but it could've been polished a bit more to bring out the value.
  3. Unless you're a die-hard Jak and Daxter fan, Jak and Daxter: The Final Frontier isn't worth the coin.

  1. This is a really good game, even though it was released near the end of the PS2's sell by date. The flying was unreal, though the camera is fairly poor and Dark Daxter wasn't really adding much in terms of gameplay, but for what it is,its fairly solid. Expand

I love the Jak and Daxter series but this game is a big disappointment. The camera is painful to control. I often find myself shooting at the screen in hopes of hitting enemy's I think is there. The controls are not spot on and Jak's animation's are a choppy compared to previous Jak and Daxter games. I feel like High Impact games could have spent more time to make the controls and the camera more polished. Also, the story feels weak and the dark Daxter sequences feel out of place. On the other hand the animation in cut scenes are what you would expect from the Jak and Daxter series. Overall, this game is mediocre at best. Expand

well naughty dog sold out the series to some one else for money. and the game is not right! i dont know what it is it just doesn't feel right. the sound and music make you know it's a game. the world is empty feeling and lonely. the game itself is decent but it is just not enough. i played for about 3 hours and i dont want to finish it. the jak series has been like a bunch of chocolate this last edition is a vanilla disapointment!
