Aside from the various terrains and many skiers to choose from, this title has the right idea of combining an extreme sports attitude with just the right touch of fantasy.
The environments are huge, but they don't totally make up for Jonny's lack of multiplayer. [Apr 2002, p.77]
The addictiveness of Jonny Moseley Mad Trix is outweighed by the poor design and tepid game play.
One of the worst action-sports games available for the PS2...Every area of the game, from the poor audio/visual presentation to the shoddy gameplay, is disappointing.
Your magnetic skis do more than just hug the rails when you’re grinding along – they magically suck you toward rails if you’re in the vicinity. It’s ridiculous. [Mar 2002, p.108]
A complete mess. Virtually every technical and stylistic aspect of the game is either shoddily handled or feels somehow incomplete.
There is no sense of speed. The skiers run down the slopes at a snails pace, and one can hardly tell the difference between 10 mph and 55 mph.

Summary Show off your new school skiing tricks in Slopestyle mode and unlock Big Mountain mode to star in a ski movie! Then get heli-dropped onto a mountaintop, and pull insane grabs off snow-capped cottages, trains and more. Even use the Alaskan pipeline as a half-pipe. [3DO]
