  1. Filled with all of the delightfully loony character of the Looney Tunes cartoons and their wildly hilarious antics, Space Race is a game that will not fail to amuse or bring a smile to your face.
  2. There’s no getting away from the fact that this is nothing more then a standard Mario Kart clone, albeit one with lots to do and lots of extras to uncover and one that captures the Looney Tunes license perfectly.
  3. Fast and fun, but not one for the hardcore who expect balanced play mechanics as a matter of, ahem, course.
  4. A fun little cartoony racer that's meant for here-and-now thrills and for the young-at-heart grown-ups that still watch Looney Tunes.
  5. Offers plenty of variety and a faithful presentation. [August 2002, p.79]
  6. From all of the available characters that could have been drawn upon, Infogrames really left a lot on the table with this title.
  7. 69
Packed full of features and modes, it's only a matter of time before the realization of doing the same thing over and over again hits you.
  8. [It's] no Mario or Crash, [but] it does have a unique take on the genre that plays well with kids and those of us who can't get enough of the old Warner Bros. cartoons.
  9. Not quite as impactful on PS2 as it was on Dreamcast. [July 2002, p.82]
  10. The game's characters look and seem very faithful to their television counterparts. Some corners were cut in terms of the gameplay, however, and the result is a kart racer that isn't quite as solid as the best that the genre has to offer.
  11. I just couldn't help but get bored as I raced through the "Looniverse" - the game's simple straightforward tracks get tedious after the first couple of races. [August 2002, p.130]
  12. Proves that cel-shading rocks for some games. If only gameplay rocked, too. [August 2002, p.110]
  13. Offers nothing to improve upon past greats in the genre.
  14. The linear track design and lack of depth leads to a somewhat boring kart racer that will mainly appeal to young gamers or Looney Tunes fanatics.
