A stonking package that will keep fans and fresh faces busy until Madden 09. [Oct 2007, p.98]
-
Much better than on PS3. [Oct 2007, p.79]
-
80The biggest on-field addition is the Weapons feature, a nifty little option that makes it easy to spot mismatches and exploit or avoid them.
-
80Way more than a bargain bin-worthy roster update from last year's game. [Nov 2007, p.81]
-
80Madden NFL 08 was made with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in mind, so it's no surprise if you end up finding these versions of Madden to be lackluster.
-
79The weapon system, which is obviously carried over from the newer consoles, doesn't deliver the kind of experience that you'd hope it would, and the adjustments to the older gameplay doesn't do enough to radically improve the title. While Madden 08 is still an enjoyable title, it isn't nearly as impressive as last year's game.
-
78If you already own previous Maddens then take a moment to think before buying this one, if you haven't dipped your toe into the Madden lagoon for a while then now is as good a time as any to take the plunge.
-
75The older console versions of Madden 08 offer a few control upgrades and a couple of bizarre new modes, but otherwise, this might as well be last year's game.
-
It’s Madden, which is no bad thing, but it’s a case of same stuff, different year.
-
70Not much has changed in the gameplay, outside of enhancements to the Hit Stick and the distribution of "weapons".
-
The special teams AI, however, remains consistent with the PS2 version (read: it’s horrible) so there is still room for improvement.

If you are from Europe and yet love American Football, this game is great for you because it includes some special teams and stadiums from Europe :D
