  1. Enemy AI is practically non-existent, but combined with the mostly straightforward level designs, it all plays reasonably well and slips by painlessly. [Sept 2004, p.26]

Malice is, from top to bottom, about as standard and, unfortunately, boring a platformer as you can find. None of it is bad, but sadly, nothing about Malice is fun, interesting, exciting, new, or worth your thirty bucks.
  3. Malice’s shunning of virtually anything complicated leaves a game that will allow easy access for non-gamers looking for something that’s easy going, artistically charming and amusing in a smutty, simplistic way – and at half the price of a regular release, is probably as low risk as it gets.
  4. A mediocre game, not a bad one. However, when you consider how far short it fell of its original promise, it comes across as less than average. [Sept 2004, p.97]
  5. To be honest it's not even as good a game as "Super Mario 3," which is a big disappointment since the game has been in production for more than four years...Overall the game is much too simple. The average gamer could blast through this in a day.
  6. This is an average platformer. Everything from the double jump and the by-the-book boss fights to the pickups and the 'special moves' feel...well...overused.
  7. Lastly, for some reason, the rumble feature with the controller is done way too much. The controller shakes during this game more than any other PS2 game I've ever played and all I did was jump.

Can't say anything about the end of the game though as the game always freezes while loading the level called "the head eater". Its not a disc read problem, the ps2 just freezes. It seems to have issues with slim ps2's (others have also reported this). Don't waste your money on this one. Its a turd. Collapse
