You have to be kidding! I have had farts that lasted longer than that game! What a rip off! Worst ending ever! It was around 85% shorter than fronline. What a scam! The ending made no sense, you had no clue the game was coming to an end. RIP OFF! THE GAME WAS TOTALL GARBAGE, just like the scumbags who made it.

The latest production in the Medal of Honor series is a really great game. "Rising Sun" is a realistic view of a real marine in the pacific theater. Although, like all other games in the series, it lacks the real feeling of "war." In other words, a little blood wouldn't hurt the ratings or reviews, but would help the feeling of being emersed in battle.

I am a very very big fan of the MOH and I was really expecting this to top the others but i was glad I decided to rent it first. The game was to short overall but somehow each level just seemed to drag out. I think true gamers will be upset with the lack of that pulling you in feeling that fades away after the first level. I got so tired of seeing jungle I could puke and speaking of puke where was the blood? And the sequel only works guys when the first one kicks ass. Expand

This installment lacks: detail in the enivorments, non-retarded AI at times and flamethowers! I mean how can you not talk WWII in the pacific and not talk flamethowers! On the up side there are a few decent tidbits to enhance gameplay... this is good but not the medal of honor that i am used to.

This game was f...ing incredible. Finally the Marine Corps gets their moment in gaming history. I have just finished it and i am still feeling the excitement. The fact that you can play with other soldiers makes the game that much better than Frontline, plus the fact that your interaction and dialouge with the other characters in the game. I cannot wait till the next MOH. Definitely a must buy for all lovers of first person war shooters Semper Fi! Expand

Way too easy, and WAYYYYYYY too quick. I feel like I wasted 50 bucks in a BIG way. Shame on EA for making this so short just so they can have a sequel next year. Do yourself a favor and rent it.

If you thought D-Day was intense last year wait till you experience waking up in Pearl Harbor. Possibly the coolest gaming moment I've had ever. Have not finished the game yet but everything I've seen so far has been great. You need this game. Can't wait to play on-line. Look for Bswift on the servers!

Gameplay-wise, this game was great. I enjoyed it. However, it was WAY too short! It was over before I knew what had happened. And that's another thing: What the heck was happening. I mean, I know the whole Pearl Harbor history, but game-wise, I was lost right up to the credits. I spent every level following one objection: kill and destroy. Plus, only about half of the weapons in the game were used in 2-player co-op: What's that about?... Oh well, what can you expect without the influence of Dreamworks. Expand

I think it's horrile compared to MOH frontline. the graphics are not that good and I beat the game in a matter of days. Nothing like the the first MOH. Did EA go cheap? What's the deal with having to wait until next year to rescue the brother character? STUPID marketing ploy!!! It's like playing that Castle Wolfenstein Crappy game!!

Graphics, sounds, gameplay were all good. But I felt ripped off for my $53.26 when the single player campain ended after only 9 missions. The two player campain and multiplayer are a plus, but don't make up for the lack of effort; an effort that Frontline seemed to have more of.

Great graphics, great sound, great storyline, ending was very disappointing and it came way too soon, only nine boards, are you kidding me??? has great potential, but there are many things that need to be improved on, like smarter AI, a little more variety, too much jungle.

This game had a lot to live up to being another MOH game...was disapointing, but not bad, a wee bit short and a lack of change background, mainly jungle... great to see they now have multi player (online). in its own right this is a pretty good game.

I absolutely love this game because of the graphics and levels. I am disgusted though at how damn short it is. 5 little hours and that's the end of a brilliant game. if there were 20 or so levels this would go top. The multiplayer is wicked. (i only found out you could have bots after i finished the game). Great game

Well, the beggining Pearl Harbor level rocked, but it was down hill from there, plus it was far too linear. I'd reccomend a rental, but that is it.

The game play itself was as good as the far superior Frontline and the initial (very short) Pearl harbor mission was incredible, but that's where the postitives end. This game was not much more than a series of jungles as you take a corner and shoot someone, cross a bridge and shoot someone, ride an elephant and shoot someone. The quick ending was a maddening dissapointment and seemed to fall where the middle of the game should have been. Where Frontline had all kinds of extra nuances (shoot a window, it shatters, shoot a hanging pan, it pings and rattles on its hook), nothing of the like was available here. There seemed to be zero AI with the enemy, and apart from the sound effects the atmosphere was equivalent to N64's Doom. I completely regret paying retail price for this disappointing follow up to one of the best games to have been released in the recent past. Expand

When will they stop making the exactly same game!? There is fun to be had with this title, but its more like an expansion pack for Medal of Honor Frontline. You'll definitley feel like you're playing the same game, with a different map pack and with different enemies.

Critic score distribution:

  2. Negative: 3 out of 30
  1. A formulaic, by the numbers FPS with zero innovation, demented AI and a crushing lack of inspiration.
  2. It's not a bad game, but then again, it's not the be-all and end-all Pacific-theater FPS we expected. The primary emphasis on gloss and glamour over gameplay and challenge suggests that Rising Sun is geared more toward the tyro rather than the savant.
  3. Quite simply, the game offers nothing that you can’t get in the other games, and can’t have a better time getting in the other games.
