A perfect blend of arcade style action, mixing the best of Midnight Club 2, Midtown Madness, Need for Speed Underground and Burnout 3. With a combination like that, you really can't go wrong.
  2. There wasn't one moment during my time with this game that I wasn't engaged and having fun. Ultimately, that's the mark of a great title in any genre. [May 2005, p.106]
  3. There are literally only a handful of racers released in the past few years that can even come close to the experience that this game provides; the customization, sense of speed, longevity, sound, and graphics all are about as perfect as can be expected.
  4. Yes, even our beloved "Burnout 3: Takedown" must yield to this monster of a racer. [June 2005, p.72]
  5. The game is worth the price of admission for the customization alone, but throw in near perfect graphics, great sound, a plethora of game modes and online play and you have a racing game that is one of the best on the market.
  6. Officially the king of the street racer gaming scene. No other title out there delivers this much speed, customization, or outright fun at all.
  7. The game’s gameplay is solid, the car customization is in-depth, the online modes are effective, and even the use of DUB Magazine seems helpful.
  8. We’ve seen importing tuner games and we’ve seen illegal racing games but not at the addictive and exquisitely detailed level of Midnight Club 3.
  9. Clearly the best game of its kind.

An insanely fast, chaotic, and progressive racing game that betters the second with more accessible racing, without losing its competitive edge.
  11. In MC3 everything is real big. Customisation real big, vehicles real big, racing real big, online real big, adrenaline real big.
  12. Like with the Grand Theft Auto titles, a lot of credit has to be given to Rockstar for creating huge, seamless environments that act as your own playground of racing mayhem.
  13. Has everything that an import tuner nut could ever want. Heck, this game has everything a racing fan could ever want.

It's the first game where I've actually felt a sense of attachment to my customized car, and it's one of the most entertaining racing games around.

Aside from minor framerate niggles, DUB is one of the finest racers to hit the market in recent memory, and it's certainly the king of the tuner racer scene, without a doubt.
  16. Creates the most exhilarating sensation of speed in a videogame as well as offering the most comprehensive modification package in a street racing title yet.
  17. While the majority of gamers kick around inside Gran Turismo 4, I know where my racing allegiance lies. This game even manages to destroy the hallowed Burnout series to easily claim the arcade racing crown, and that’s no small feat. Grab your wallets and, uh, race to the store.
  18. Super powers and the most comprehensive list of substitutable parts possible alone isn't quite sufficient to slice into the series with a fresh enough cutting edge.
  19. You cannot go wrong by picking up a copy of this game.
  20. While still similar in many ways to Midnight Club 2, the two remain sufficiently different that neither negates the other.
  21. DUB redlines on the gorgeous meter. Everything blurs and tunnels to help convey a giddy feeling of speed—and then you hit the nitrous.
  22. A great addition to the Midnight Club series. The only disappointing setback is the environmental detail and the bland cars driving in the cities. Just about everything else about MC3 provides for an amazing racing experience.

I have completed 100% of mc3de. I have remix as well,. This game was the best street racing game money could buy back in the day. Even better than nfs underground. The cars look amazing. The graphics were top notch for ps2 hardware. The soundtrack was catchy and fit perfectly with the atmosphere of the street racing seen. I'm keeping my ps2 for as long as possible. This will be a game that i will still play in the future again. Its almost a decade old too. Love it! Full Review »

The cheats are lousy and clustered up to be nothing more than 'Silly Cheats' that are rendered useless to the player. Rockstar had a great Rep with the gta's over the years as I thought I would find in this game. I finally won the Lamborghini but let down after discovering it was still the same game and no higher nos count on hud meter after that and no focus control. I found myself really winning at nothing and the most frustrating part was when it rains or snows, losing traction ,then having to go over and play other story modes to get out of rain or snow mode until I fell back into my comfort zone. Several attempts to make number one wins at finish line until comfortable with course. Lousy set up menus and options list. Limited options for car parts in garage, even after you've won millions and have the best car. This game may be fun for some but I found it too daunting and contentious. Too nerve racking in the negative sense and just plain boring after a while. If I want to sweat that hard I'll go to the gym Full Review »
