  1. Its fresh twist on the traditional racing model and creative gameplay make this one of the few titles in a flooded genre that really stands out.
  2. Instead of flying over hills and sometimes jumping into buildings, as you do in "Rush," MC keeps the racing more down-to-earth.
  3. An extremely fun arcade-style racer.
  4. The sense of speed, the detailed graphics, and most of all, the fun makes this a great addition to the PS2 lineup.
  5. A nice breakaway from the norm of arcade racing games, and is definitely worth a look for its impressive visuals and addictive (but sometimes a little on the frustrating side) gameplay.
  6. If you’re looking for a fun, addictive arcade racer, where you can take devious shortcuts to get one over on your rivals, then look no further.
  7. A poor plot, which never makes you feel that you're doing anything other than playing an average videogame.

It's now available on the PS Store. For a game that was released in 2000, this game looks great. Races can, however, be a pain to beat, and this seem to carry over in each iteration of MC. If you want to see where it all began, or just want to collect all MC games, then buy this. I should warn you though, that customization-wise, it isn't deep as the later games. Expand
