  • Summary: The innovative Road to The Show mode enables fans to play solely as a custom-created rookie on both offense and defense while attempting to rise through the ranks and make a starting line-up in the Big Leagues. Adding to its already robust online feature set, the MLB franchise now includes Online League Play, which gives gamers the ability to set up leagues with up to 30 teams, complete statistical tracking, point benefits and full customization, while the My Sliders feature allows users to create their perfect game settings and upload them to the MLB 07 The Show server for others to try out. 1. The complete Baseball package; it looks great, sounds great, and most importantly plays great. It even has all the bells and whistles any hardcore baseball fan would ever want and never fails to impress each and every season.
  2. When the dust settles, SCEA San Diego has done something that few have ever seen – they produced a follow up that was as good as or better than the original classic.
  3. In terms of control, the pitching in MLB '07: The Show seems to have gotten a lot of attention.
  4. If you've already got MLB 06, it's difficult to justify the upgrade unless this mode particularly interests you, but for those new to the series then MLB 07 is worth the purchase for any fan of the sport.
  5. Pitching, hitting and fielding mechanics work beautifully, and the presentation, while not stellar, captures the essence of major league baseball. Until the PlayStation 3 version comes along, this Show shouldn't be missed.

The enhancements on the pitching side and the even funkier Career mode show that development isn't simply in cruise control.
  7. 60
The trio of Matt Vasgersian, Dave Campbell, and Rex Hudler actually sound like they're watching the game unfold in real time, noting how many times a certain hitter has struck out, the number of consecutive hits allowed by a pitcher, and other milestones.
