  1. Giant robots are great, but basing them on the Gundam license with Capcom developing makes them greater, if that's even. [Feb 2003, p.92]
  2. Certainly the best Gundam title for the PS2 so far. [Oct 2002, p.84]
  3. The best part of Zeon is its massive 100-plus mission tree that puts you on the frontlines as a grunt on either side of the war. [Nov 2002, p.283]

Finally, a well-balanced, fun Mobile Suit Gundam game that not only looks and sounds great, but also stays true to the illustrious anime series.
  5. This game will have you wishing that it would never end and with 200 missions and a multi-player mode you will think you've died and gone to heaven.
  6. 75
Depending on what you're looking for, Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon will have extraordinary replay value and worth for some. For others, getting through the game will be a trial of patience and endurance.
  7. The gameplay mechanics are sound, and there's enough variety in the missions that you won't become bored with either the arcade or campaign mode too quickly.
  8. One of the best anime spin-offs on record. [Nov 2002, p.52]
  9. Not the most in-depth or daunting example of the genre, however the accessibility of the game and enjoyment with a friend should endeavour its charms to more than a select few.
  10. 70
This is the best game to appear in the canon yet, both for single-player and split-screen action.
  11. What really sets this Gundam apart from the rest is that it actually controls pretty well. [Oct 2002, p.149]
  12. Lacking in every way this game is good only for small kids, desperate mech-fans, or fans of the series.
  13. It’s closer to a ‘65’ for those of us that don’t care about or follow the TV series’ characters or TV plots, but it lacks the polish and proper balance (the Zeon side is heavily favored) to merit receiving the ‘70’ we were thinking of bestowing upon it.
  14. 60
It's a meaty release that doesn't bog the player down with complicating control configurations, drawn out cut scenes, and plot development that gamers will likely be familiar with already.
  15. A decent action game. There are a few flaws and a lack of depth, but it’s definitely playable and fun.

This game rocks!! There are so many missions and a whole crap load of mobile suits. It is challenging yet fun. The only hard levels are when you need to battle Amuro in his Gundam or Char in his Zaku, Gelgoog, or Z'Gok. The controls are top notch and easy to use. My favorite mobile suit would probably be..... the Gundam. Its cool how you can play as either the Federation or Zeon. I also like the arcade mode, which is a shortened version of the the One Year War. This is a must buy for anyone who likes gundam or great shooter games. Full Review »

I've played every Gundam game from The Mobile Suit gundam journey to Jaburo to Moblie Suit Gundam Zeonic Front. I have collected alot of Gundam models figures and this was a great adition to my collection this game just needs a little bit more mobile suits for both sides, Like the Hy-Gogg, Gouf coustom, Gundam Alex, Kampfer, etc.... Chars Zaku is my fav and this game did well on the graphics for all of the mobiles suits. Ive never been Disapointed with anything Gundam but by far this is the best!! Full Review »
