I fail to see how a title with practically no gameplay value and a wealth of poorly edited animated clips and computer generated cutscenes can pass as a worthwhile videogame. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow is terrible.
  2. The action here is a complete mess that can't be salvaged, even with copious amounts of fan service and esoteric references to the Gundam universe.
  3. The clunky gameplay, repetitive battles, and the lack of a lengthy quest and hardly any replay value guarantee that Never Ending Tomorrow will never achieve the success it could (possibly ... maybe) have.
  4. Sharing the misery with another player via the split screen can be a delightfully sadistic pleasure. Why should you be the only one to have a crappy time?
  5. I simply can’t recommend this to anyone but the most obsessive of fans. Other "giant robot" games such as "Zone of the Enders" and "Armored Core" have so much more to offer, with nowhere near this many problems.
  6. Some pretty broken gameplay and annoying technical issues create a fairly lackluster gaming experience.
  7. I hate trashing any game, but Gundam was just so confusing, unwieldy, and mentally frustrating, I cannot be kind.

For those who aren’t so loyal to this particular brand of gigantic Japanese robot, enjoyment of the game will be seriously hampered by control issues and the payoff--tons of extras and unlockable content--just isn't worth it.
  9. There are lots of nuances here and a truly spectacular CG opener, but the deja vu is loomin' large. [Oct 2005]
  10. The celebrated anime series gets transleted into yet another mediocre video game, plagued by a convulated story, repetitive combat and messy controls.
  11. The graphics aren't "Z.O.E.", but they'll still make most fans weep with joy. [Nov 2005, p.94]
  12. The developers managed to do an excellent job with its presentation and fans of the series will no doubt gobble up the anime footage, the items that can be purchased, and the numerous missions, but the gameplay is extremely sub par.
  13. A surprisingly mediocre game. It doesn’t try to go far from the typical Gundam formula.
  14. A perfectly adequate Gundam title that will clearly live up to fan expectations. While newcomers to the series should expect to initially struggle with a slightly shoddy control scheme and overall camera confusion amid the heat of battle, veteran Gundam gamers should see it all as par for the course.
  15. If you consider yourself well versed in the lingo and culture of all things Gundam, then the "complex" controls and familiar plot elements will bring a huge smile to your face.

The gameplay is horrendous with clunky control, button mashing repetitiveness, and a headache inducing camera system.

Anyone who would say this game sucks probably never gave it much of a chance in the first place. The game mechanics do leave a bit to be desired, but the veriety of combat mechs, and complex game nature will leave anyone up for a challenge with a thirst for more. Full Review »
