  1. If you're a retrogaming fan (like I am), then Namco Museum is a no-brainer, if only for the Arrangements.
  2. Excellent arrangements of Dig Dug, Galaga, and Pac-Man maintain the integrity (and brilliance) of the originals. [Feb 2002, p.85]
  3. 80
Everyone who enjoys video games owes it to themselves to try these titles at least once. If, however, you enjoy arcade reflex contests where you play for high scores, this will be perfect for you.
  4. Arguably, there are other classics that should have been included, but it's an excellent sampling and a nice blast from the past if you're interested in walking down memory lane.
  5. 70
They're still fun, but they definitely aren't pretty.
  6. Nostalgia freaks and curious geeks could use the history lesson that this disc teaches - it's an emotional purchase.
  7. Easily the best compilation of quality classics ever seen on a console. [Feb 2002, p.108]
  8. If you don't own any of these games on other versions of the Namco Museum series, or if you're a fan of the arranged games that make their home debut in this package, then this game will satiate your appetite for classic gaming.
  9. But come on, do we really need FIVE different "Pac-Man" games, TWO "Pole Position" games, TWO "Dig Dug" games and TWO "Galaga" games on a compilation CD-ROM that only has 12 titles? I mean, it's a CD-ROM for Christ's sake!

  1. Namco Museum doesn't have that much variety a collection pack should -- aside from rebooted versions of Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Galaga. In fact, you'll probably find more enjoyment out of the PS1 versions. Full Review »
  2. If you like retro games this might be for you, graphically the games look like they did when they came out, and the sound is the same, it's got some fun co-op, and the controls work, add some secret games and there is really no reason to turn your nose up at this just because there old. Some of the titles are down right difficult to control with the analog stick, but most will work with the digital cross as well. My son has been playing games off this disc since he was 2 with no difficulty. Full Review »
