  1. With the Signature Style re-creating players’ styles on the game, the immersive Association mode, and the nearly impeccable online play, NBA 2K7 is the sports title to get this basketball season.
  2. Quick, responsive and immaculately presented. Like all great sports games, this is an everyman gem dressed up in niche clothing. [Dec 2006, p.92]
  3. 87
It’s not hugely different from what we saw last year, but the advancements that were made were solid enough.
  4. Yes, the presentation isn't as good, and unfortunately there is no 24/7 mode--which is a real bummer, but on the court this game hasn't been left for dead. [Nov. 2006, p.128]
  5. It may be true that those of you who already own last year's version may feel like you're not getting much more than a roster update and the ability to keep kicking it in the sublime 2K online world, but there's no doubt that the proof is in the pudding, and NBA 2K7 delivers a darn good time.
  6. The current-gen NBA 2K7 is a really good basketball title that looks great and plays even better. At $30, it's well worth picking up, even if it isn't a huge step up from last year's title.
  7. It's all a bit dour in truth, with little excitement generated by the commentators, the court-side atmosphere and, most significantly, what happens on the court itself.

I am new to basketball games, I always wanted to play them so I got my chance yesterday. Since I haven't played the previous NBA titles I can't really compare this with others. The graphics are awesome, gameplay good. I rate this a good 10/10 Collapse

Almost exactly like 2k6 but a few tweaks still makes it a good game. A bit disappointing at first but I still enjoy playing it!

I´m playing NBA live since 1995 since Super NES but I was disapointed when I saw that NBA live is still not making its games more realistic just like you guys. I quit on playing my NBA Live 06 to play NBA 2k5 a friend lended me. 1 week later I went to the store and bought my own NBA 2K6 that I really enjoyed 2 weeks after that, actually Today I bought NBA 2K7 and I´m very very disapointed because me and my brother were expecting more graphics more cinematic and a more interactive crowd. Of course having Kobe with number 24, the signature moves, the Crossovers are good but come on gimme more make me forget completely about NBA Live. Expand

The game hasn't changed a bit. It could fall under "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but why would I pay $40 for something that hasn't done anything other than update rosters? There aren't even any new cut scenes (cinematics). Everything is the same, moreso than any other sports game I've ever played. I've only noticed 1 new player animation, and that's a jumping pass. Other than that, it's identical. I thought the graphics might be better, but not even. The controls are all identical. No new moves. 2k Sports, you make the best basketball game in video game history, but please give us die-hard fans a reason to buy your product every year. I would rather save my $40 and keep playing 2K6. Wait till next year if you haven't already bought it. It's great, but it is no different at all. I suppose the development team spent all (ie 100%) of their time on the next-gen version. I was very dissappointed. Expand
