  1. One of the crappier basketball games on the planet. [Mar 2002, p.79]
  2. Where’s the freaking Dynasty mode? [Mar 2002, p.138]
  3. You can't even play through this or any season as your favorite college team, which makes us wonder why on earth they called it March Madness 2002. [Mar 2002, p.30]
  4. There is some mindless fun to be had playing along with friends, but not enough to compensate for the absence the Season, Franchise or Dynasty modes we've come to expect from EA Sports.
  5. After delivering the best beer-guzzling entertainment to dorm rooms last year, this half-assed sequel plays worse than Dick Vitale’s toupee.
  6. The game is easy to beat and short in replay value. This is one disappointing effort.

A.I. can range from tolerable to unbearable.
  8. The game's shining glory, the custom team builder, falls flat because there is no mode to play a regular college season.

The Create-a-School mode is fantastic, which is the only reason the rating is this high. There is NO DYNASTY, which is a huge mistake. Rent The Create-a-School mode is fantastic, which is the only reason the rating is this high. There is NO DYNASTY, which is a huge mistake. Rent March Madness 2001 instead, unless you're incredibly easily satisfied. Full Review »
