  1. While somewhat repetitious, the linear design and simple control schemes will draw players along and it is not hard to work through the levels.
  2. This game is rated E for Everyone, and rightfully so as only gamers around ten or younger could really find enjoyment playing as their favorite Nicktoon character.
  3. Even though a lot of the features aren't put together properly and the sound and graphics are all outdated, it does manage to entertain you along the way - especially if you can play this through with someone else, particularly a child.
  4. It's a simple game--so simple that it's really not good for anyone over the age of 9 or 10--but it's not bad, and the way it's structured makes it perfect for parents to jump in and out to help when kids get stuck.
  5. A manual camera (or at least one that would stay static), a lineup that would include more Nicktoons, and a difficulty select would greatly improve the game.
  6. Co-op trash aimed at under-10s. Give us Mickey and Donald anyday. [June 2006, p.80]
  7. We like SpongeBob, but teaming him up with his Nickelodeon pals has resulted in a generic platformer with precious little originality or energy. [May 2006, p.94]
  8. 40
Spongebob Squarepants and Friends Unite! will provide a bit for the fans but anyone looking for co-op action should look elsewhere, even if they’re under ten.

I loved this game when I was a kid and now when I play I still didn't find it a bad game with all the villians from the four shows wasn't a bad idea and I would totally recommend it for kids. Full Review »

This game was pretty awful. The gameplay was kinda bad, in my opinion and the animations were pretty bad. I tried co-op but it was pretty awful too. The only real plus for it was that the game had the shows voice actors. Full Review »

Its a good game for kids. I must agree with Gaming Age that more playable characters and a manual camera should have been provided.
