  1. Even though a lot of the features aren't put together properly and the sound and graphics are all outdated, it does manage to entertain you along the way - especially if you can play this through with someone else, particularly a child.
  2. While somewhat repetitious, the linear design and simple control schemes will draw players along and it is not hard to work through the levels.
  3. This game is rated E for Everyone, and rightfully so as only gamers around ten or younger could really find enjoyment playing as their favorite Nicktoon character.
  4. 40
Spongebob Squarepants and Friends Unite! will provide a bit for the fans but anyone looking for co-op action should look elsewhere, even if they’re under ten.
  5. It's a simple game--so simple that it's really not good for anyone over the age of 9 or 10--but it's not bad, and the way it's structured makes it perfect for parents to jump in and out to help when kids get stuck.
  6. We like SpongeBob, but teaming him up with his Nickelodeon pals has resulted in a generic platformer with precious little originality or energy. [May 2006, p.94]
  7. Co-op trash aimed at under-10s. Give us Mickey and Donald anyday. [June 2006, p.80]
  8. A manual camera (or at least one that would stay static), a lineup that would include more Nicktoons, and a difficulty select would greatly improve the game.

I loved this game when I was a kid and now when I play I still didn't find it a bad game with all the villians from the four shows wasn't a bad idea and I would totally recommend it for kids. Full Review »

This game was pretty awful. The gameplay was kinda bad, in my opinion and the animations were pretty bad. I tried co-op but it was pretty awful too. The only real plus for it was that the game had the shows voice actors. Full Review »

Its a good game for kids. I must agree with Gaming Age that more playable characters and a manual camera should have been provided.
