  1. A game pretty blatantly for fans of the show, but non-fans might find plenty here to like. It’s little more than Grand Battle with a single-player mode attached, but it’s your best chance to fight superpowered pirates this year.
  2. Those who already own Battle won't be motivated to drive to the store just to drop $40 on a couple of additional features.
  3. One Piece Grand Adventure feels like a beefier version of One Piece Grand Battle, but it's still not a very compelling brawler.
  4. It's not a great fighting game, but its wide array of characters, scenarios, and unlockable junk could be just the thing for less critical fans.
  5. For a game that is rated TEEN, the latest One Piece doesn’t provide the flare that a teen’s attention requires, unless you’re a rabid fan of the television series.

If you're a hugh One Piece fan, then dive in; otherwise, find an alternative. [Nov. 2006, p.114]

Too bad the mediocre voice acting does more to keep you away than to keep playing. [Nov. 2006, p.82]
