87While there may be superior versions of this game available on other systems, that fact in no way diminishes how great Puzzle Quest on PS2 is. If you haven't tried it yet, you owe it to yourself to pick the game up - at a budget price, there's really no reason not to.
-
83Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is not a hard game to recommend and you should really run out and get it if you have a PS2 and no other system. This game has been through a whirlwind of praise and this version is no different.

80It's tough to justify paying for a tweaked version of a game you can play for free on PC, but the free one doesn't let you cast fireballs at a wight who controls an army of giant rats, so it evens out quite a bit.
-
Simple to get into, it quickly becomes addictive. [Mar 2008, p.85]
-
80It's not the best version of Puzzle Quest to date, but it still offers much of the same great fun.
-
80A fun, fulfilling and yes, even addictive game.
-
80The PlayStation 2 version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords comes highly recommended, even if it's not the most attractive version available. The Xbox Live version, and even the PSP version with its annoying bugs are better looking versions of the same game, but you can't lose with any choice you make.

78The unlikely marriage of puzzle gameplay with RPG mechanics makes for one of the most addictive experiences of the year.
-
75A good port of one of last years best portable games. Still probably best in handheld form, but nice on a TV as well.
-
72A solid and engrossing title that fans of both adventure and puzzle games will find a lot of enjoyment in. [Issue#163, p.95]
-
Buy it on a handheld. [May 2008, p.80]
