  • Summary: Rez is fast-action shooter that takes you deep into the world's computer network. The "Project K" Network has recently been upgraded to handle the rapid expansion of the information age and the core, known as "Eden," holds the most advanced artificial intelligence the world has ever seen. Unfortunately, Eden cannot handle the ability to create her own thoughts and buckles under the pressure in an existential breakdown. She is lost deep inside the system, and you're the only one that can bring her back online, saving the world from utter chaos. [Sega] Expand

One of the freshest titles in recent memory in both concept and execution.
  2. It's weird, wonderful, addictive and groovin'.
  3. In wishing to both typify and exaggerate the visual style of a bygone age, Rez ultimately commits the cardinal sin of placing graphics before gameplay – a facet attributable to SEGA's desire for the title to be seen as art.
  4. Depth is definitely one of Rez's shortcomings, and sadly, it shows.

  1. This was a sleeper and will always be in my book- Simply one of the most abstract concepts ever brought to life inside of a video game and even though its been years since its release- its one of the few I can still pick out amongst many others. Expand

I can't believe the low reviews this game got. It is so amazing and fresh, I guess most people where not able to appreciate this game the same way that I did. It's a rare gem that is worth looking for. Collapse

Very hyped game, after all gameplay is borrowed from Panzer Dragoon. So what we've got here? not a bad game either, it combines an ok gameplay with an interesting way wich combines game with music. And that's very creative, you do music by killing enemies. A shame you don't get rewarded for that, you can only enjoy the posibilitie. Don't believe the hype, you'll see a good game with trance music you can like or dislike, but to appreciate the way yo do music while playing. It's also easy and short, very minor flaws by the way. Get this fair note as i reviewed tons of games everywhere. Expand

A strange shooter... that reminds me of the movie Tron. I didn't find the environments that interesting, and the gameplay is really quite simple and boring. Expand
