  • Summary: Unleash merciless kicks, tackles, and steals against excitable, quirky characters from all over the world. Each character in this anything-but-ordinary soccer game wields special powers and moves that if executed properly earn those dramatic victory dances they love so much. Get to the random spotlight that appears on the field and your character will shoot skyward with the ball and slam it toward the unsuspecting goalie. The more victories your team scores, the closer you'll get to Quest Mode where you can unlock secret stadiums and uncover hidden items to improve your already stellar performance. [Sega] Expand

  1. While the PS2 version retains the over-the-top gameplay and appealing characters, the game's visual quality has been compromised somewhat by a fluctuating frame rate, slightly less-detailed textures, and washed-out colors that take away from the game's visual style.
  2. Unfortunately, the PS2 port of this title suffers from a blurry visual presentation and occasional slowdown that is not present in the Xbox or Gamecube version.
  3. The game looks so bad I can't begin to like it. [Nov 2002, p.190]
