The most interesting addition is the ability to create your own AI in Arena mode. [July 2003, p.107]
As solid as ever, but unlikely to win new converts, Silent Line: Armored Core preaches to the choir and no one else. [Aug 2003, p.71]
A solid addition to the Armored Core series with its bevy of cool new options and upgrades, but it still only caters to those well-versed in the esoteric world of AC geekdom.
The game's difficulty curve is totally thrown off balance. I can only assume the intent was to provide a greater challenge than player-friendly Armored Core 3, and not outright sadism.
The effort in style and ideas are evident, but working on the same engine, and just building on it just doesn’t do the series justice. Give the game a face-lift please.
