SingStar is out to be a fun and engaging multiplayer karaoke game, and it succeeds at that. If you've got a crew of buddies that's in the mood to scream Audioslave and try to keep up with the Ramones, this is the title for you.
  2. Tough to rate an expansion like this, but kudos for the diversity of the songs. This is a great collection of memories and newer songs.
  3. Singstar Amped is for you grungy rock and rollers out there, so show you love and scare the neighbors with your haunting melodies of death and love loss.
  4. 80
A title that every rock lover should have in their collection.
  5. There aren’t many modes or options for gameplay, either. Party mode features duets, battles, and a hodgepodge “pass the mic” game. None of these make you feel competitive, and though the automatic leaderboards are neat and easy to keep track of, SingStar is more karaoke than video game.
  6. 75
It's an addendum to a broader karaoke game, not a stand-alone.
  7. SingStar Amped! continues in the same vein as the previous titles, good and bad. Whle the game doesn’t make any huge improvements other than the soundtrack, it also doesn’t make any new mistakes.
  8. In the end, Singstar Amped is a good solid music title, that for many will offer up a great music experience especially for those into some nice rock and roll tunes.
  9. SingStar is best played in moderation and in the company of a few good friends.
  10. A well-done successor of the SingStar-empire! Good choice of songs, very entertaining.
  11. PSM Magazine
There's really something for everyone in it. [Nov 2007, p.86]
  12. Same old game, new tracklist… ‘nuff said. If it’s shiny new features you’re after, check out the PS3 version.
  13. If that isn't a pair of dream tracklists, I don't know what is.
  14. Looking at this as part of an overall Singstar package, Amped does a good job of bringing more songs into the fold. As a stand-alone title, it doesn't live up to its title.
